The older round 30L model we own still works like a charm after 11 years....and will continue to work. It is just that the flatback is such a space saver! This new 40L model looks optical smaller, but can easily handle i.e. all the huge empty plastic milk bottles. I like the wide opening, so that the waste doesn't spill onto the bin when throwing it away. It really opens and closes with a soft touch and does it without a bang. No visible fingerprints up to now! It sounds a bit odd to rave about a bin, but this is such a stylish, practical product and it's already had admiring comments from visitors - and we've only had it a week! The colour is lovely and the shape is very practical and it is so easy to empty and replace the bag.
