I looked online and was able to order a new lid at a reasonable price. The item was in my hand within 3 working days! Not only did the new one arrive very promptly, and for free, but I see they have redesigned it so that the catch can now be replaced separately which is a far better design. The new design of the lid is excellent, should it ever break again I will only have to replace the catch.
