I have had mine a year or so and absolutely love it. Here in The part of NC USA where I live we have fairly mild weather. I am 68 and grew up hanging clothes on the clothesline. The fragrance of sunshine-dried clothes cannot be matched; and takes me back to my childhood when life was simpler and carefree. The added bonus is that the air and sunshine are still free so I save on electrical bill by not running dryer very often. I heartily recommend the Brabantia brand and will look to make other purchases as I replace household goods. 5 stars in every category.Date published: 2016-03-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Scarletaj from Excellent product We bought this to replace a cheaper and les sturdy airer that had rusted badly. This is a much better option. It has been manufactured to a high quality and the workings are smooth and efficient. I've followed the instructions and built a concrete base in which it now resides. Be sure to order the correct spear depending on where you intend to position the airer. The website is very good at explaining what you need. We also purchased a cover which is well worth the extra money as it is easy to use and of a similar high quality to the airer.Date published: 2017-09-13Rated 4 out of 5 by CriticalUser from Sturdy and well constructed 40M Topspinner dryer I have just installed the 40M 4 arm Top-spinner Dryer using the heavy duty, very stout ground spike included. First impressions are that it is a very solid and well built product. The spike is similarly so, though many will find it difficult to drive into their lawn. This task is very much easier in wet winter ground and of course a fairly large hammer and old piece of fence post to protect the top are essential aids. One disappointing feature however is that Brabantia's claim to easily spin is rather a hollow claim. The design is such that the arms rotate against the green catch upon which the dryer rests when raised up and clicks into position. Even without loading with washing, the friction is such that the whole post rotates in the ground socket! The rotating feature it seem is more down to accident than design!Date published: 2016-01-12Rated 3 out of 5 by ktp57 from Doesn't spin as well as I thought it would This doesn't spin all that well and the line tension could be better and so am a bit dissappointed as the line wasn't cheap. I am sure it is possible to push the line up higher but it is much too difficult to do so I will have to make do with line that is a bit loose!Date published: 2013-12-14Rated 5 out of 5 by cornishman from Replacement of a broken rotary line I purchased this topspinner to replace a broken airer. However the existing hole is 50 mm diameter I therefore had to fabricate a sleeve to fit the 45mm vertical pole. it was a tight fit so am glad I purchased the topspinner since the arms rotate freely. The airer is solidly made and easy to erect and well worth the money as it is guaranteed for 5 years. Would recommend this airer as a replacement for your old one. It would be helpful if a reduction sleeve could be purchased separately from the manufacturer.Date published: 2017-09-08Rated 1 out of 5 by Stbk from Bad design, dont bother I purchased this because of the brand, and have now returned it for a full refund. The build quality is excellent, but the depth of the pole when placed in the ground spike is a joke. Like other reviews, the washing line pole wobbles when placed in the ground spike and only has a depth of about 6 inch. Whoever thought this was a good idea clearly has no garden to need a rotary washing line. The pole needs to go to the bottom of the gound spike for stability, not half way.Date published: 2017-08-29Rated 2 out of 5 by gillbo from Disappointing Tube only inserts about 6 inches into stake, and due to gaps between pole and stake it does not have a close fit and this means the rotary wobbles more than a 6 years old tooth! So far no spinning going on and we live in a high position with lots of wind...... customer service dismissed feedback as design features....Date published: 2017-04-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Tanveer22 from Very high quality We bought this a month ago, and have wondered why we did not earlier! It is our first Spinner, as opposed to washing lines. We did not install it ourselves, so you may need to arrange people for that. However, its build is of very high quality and it offers a staggering amount of space for hanging. The collapse function saves a lot of space, but we find that it looks nicer to just leave it open - at least in summer!Date published: 2016-07-10
