Iron like a pro with Brabantia PerfectFlow

Did you know there are a lot of different ironing board covers for all type of irons and ironing boards? For instance, the PerfectFlow ironing board is perfect when you iron for a long time and with a lot of steam.

Normal ironing board covers do not reflect steam but absorb it. This can cause condensation on your ironing board, and the water can drip on to your floor. Of course, you don't want that. The PerfectFlow ironing board cover has been developed by Philips and Brabantia and has a coated felt layer, that keeps your cover and your floor dry. The PerfectFlow ironing board cover improves the performance of every steam iron.

A dry cover and no more water drops on the floor!

Brabantia PerfectFlow

The PerfectFlow ironing board cover allows the steam to remove creases better and with help from the heat of the iron it keeps them away. The cover looks normal, but inside there are three smart layers that make steam ironing seriously easy.

The first layer made of special 3D-fabric lets the steam pass. The second layer absorbs any condensation in the cover. The last, watertight layer reflects the heat back to your garment and keeps wetness away from your ironing board. Result: better ironing results in less time. Now that’s a cuddleworthy cover! You can even choose from different designs.

5 tips for ironing like a pro

1. Choose the right ironing board

Before you start ironing, you need the right gear. There is a Brabantia ironing board for everyone, whether you iron occasionally or get on the board every day. To help you choose the right ironing board, we have made an article with tips on how to choose the right ironing board.

2. Descale the iron

Where there is warm water, there is lime over time. Limescale damages your iron. The holes get clogged, and your iron can leave brown stains on your clothes. Avoid problems and easily clean the iron with a cloth and vinegar. Do you want to clean your entire iron? Click here to read how

3. Know what you are ironing

You can iron some fabrics, such as cotton and linen, at a high temperature. Other fabrics, like wool and synthetics, are best ironed on a lower temperature. Not sure? Look at the washing instructions in the garment. The dots in the iron icon indicate how hot this piece can be ironed: one dot means a maximum of 110 degrees, two dots 150 degrees and three dots 200 degrees. A cross through the iron means that you should not iron the garment at all.

4. Iron in order

Ironing the fabrics that need to be ironed at a lower temperature first saves time and energy. So save the cotton and linen items for last.

5. Folding is key

Even if you have ironed your clothes to perfection, if you don't fold them up or hang them up right away, you've worked for nothing. So, fold up immediately! Tip: Fold your T-shirts and pants in the same way for a satisfyingly perfect stack.
