We’re looking for an Operations Manager to take the lead at our UK Distribution Centre in Nailsea, Bristol. This is your chance to join a company that blends proud heritage with forward-thinking sustainability and where your leadership will have a direct impact on the success of our UK business.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As Operations Manager, you’ll be a key driving force behind the running of our distribution centre, leading a team of 30-40 colleagues with two supervisors. You’ll work with the UK & USA Operations Director to ensure our warehouse not only runs smoothly today but is prepared for the opportunities of tomorrow.
Your role will be both strategic and hands-on:
- Developing and implementing safe, structured, and efficient processes
- Driving productivity, quality, and innovation
- Leading the short-, medium- and long-term strategic planning for operational performance and future capacity needs
- Contributing to Brabantia’s Continuous Improvement programme
- Creating annual budgets and action plans with clear KPIs for each department
- Translating strategic goals into tactical and operational outcomes
- Managing day-to-day operations, including online and offline order fulfilment
- Overseeing workforce and wave planning to ensure optimal performance
In this role you’ll make things happen, balancing the bigger picture with on the ground problem-solving.
WHO ARE YOU?
You are an experienced, results-driven logistics professional with a proven track record in managing and scaling supply chain operations in the UK. You possess strong personal drive, excellent communication skills, and analytical capabilities.
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Hands-on leadership experience in a dynamic, growth-focused logistics or distribution environment
- Strong people management, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven capability to lead strategic planning across short, medium, and long-term horizons to align operations with business growth
- A pragmatic, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Deep understanding of health & safety principles and labour planning
- Demonstrated expertise in inbound, storage, outbound, and returns operations
- Familiarity with UK employment law
