Made of metallised cotton - heat reflecting for faster and better ironing. The cover is suitable for normal and steam ironing. Use this cover always in combination with a resilient Brabantia viscose and/or foam layer.

Pretty goodThis is a good value cover albeit a little hard to set up.
However it is well made, thick, and is fit for purpose.

Very unhappyI bought this metallised ironing board cover and just tried to do my weekly iron. It has taken me twice as long as usual as the cover grips any item put on it, e.g. if you lay a sleeve on the board and need to move it over so it is central you are unable to slide it across and instead have to pick the whole thing up and try to get it positioned correctly without the need to move it. Also, when ironing shorts or trousers I like to position them over the end of the board to iron the body part, sliding it so as to get all the way round it - obviously this is not possible with this cover.
Maybe I iron differently to everyone else but I can't see how this can work.
ps never had this problem before and always use metallised covers.

Ironed Man from
Best board cover ever! This is the second time I have ordered a Brabantia Top layer without underlay, Metallised, size D (135 x 45 cm) in Silver. I actually order the Brabantia cut to size underlay at the same time but it comes in a separate package and I haven't been asked to review the underlay....which by the way is also excellent.
The choice of patterns was not of my taste thereby limiting me yet again to the Silver finish. Quite apart from this being the best ever ironing surface, it is neutral and works well with my minimalist monochromatic interior. As all my clothes are designer black, the colour also compliments my clothing and the charcoal fold away legs of the Brabantia ironing board.
My first encounter with Brabantia was 11 years ago when I noticed this was the board of choice for many engaged in extreme ironing. I generally like to put a bit of excitement into my home life and regularly iron without clothes on then put my ironed clothes on once ironed. My wife says I am crazy jeopardising our future family but I have total control of the iron on the Metallised silver cover.
Prior to my order being despatched, I had a polite email from brabantia double checking my delivery address I have to say tracking the courier delivery of my shipment was a breeze and I received my order on the other side of the world 3 days after ordering.
I love ironing and find it quite therapeutic. I love my Brabantia Size D. I'll be back for another but probably not for another 11 years again.

Ironing BoardI bought this cover to replace my worn out one which was also a Brabantia. I am a little disappointed in it because its material is non slip and although many people might like this, and in fact on some items it might be beneficial, I used to be able to iron almost one handed as I moved the item around. This one unfortuntely I have to use both hands. Apart from that its good.
